A fine riverside house which faces west. It is a grade II listed building built about 1760. Its pedimented front, and fluted columns and porch are as they were when built. It has a large garden running down to the Thames. One well known person connected with the house was Edward Prince of Wales, later king Edward VIII, a frequent visitor in the thirties. |
